Project Hail Mary

Science teacher Ryland Grace (Ryan Gosling) awakens from a coma aboard a spaceship hurtling light years from Earth, alone, disoriented, and with no memory of his identity or purpose in deep space. As recollections return, he discovers he is humanity's last hope against a mysterious space-borne organism draining the sun's energy, infecting and killing nearby stars except one. Tasked with reaching that surviving star to avert Earth's mass extinction, Grace battles isolation and amnesia, until a mysterious visitor from another world alters his desperate journey.
