A tight suspenseful drama with just the right edge of humor. Both Mos Def and Bruce Willis grab the screen and never let go in scene after scene. The editing is perfect. Mos Def's is spellbinding and is the heart of the film; he is the heart (and non-stop talker!) that changes Bruce Willis' character.

If you like action this movie had alot of it and really got you involved and wanting us to know the whole action. Bruce Willis and all the actors had made this film unbelievingly a good suspense. The writers of this film had emphasized and made it look realistic especially how Bruce Willis expressed his charactor. This brought us viewers find it to be quite exciting and a succes and certainly got us alot of attention as well when watching it. I found it also quite entertaining and also exciting to watch. Found myself finding it very involving that gets you thinking and wanting you to find out how it will end. Also we see it in a realistic way of view as well. It had alot of action and suspense which got it to be considered to be exciting to watch.

Some may call this film - Die Hard Light - with emphasis on the 'light' part cause when you add action and Bruce Willis he always 'Dies Hard'. In fact, try to kill him, good luck! What makes the films work is the story and Bruce's acting. Say no more - I digressed. The star of the show, a guy named Mos Def! Go figure. You may not like this movie but give Producers credit for taking milk and makin a mini-latte out of it.

Bruce Willis is a great actor and probably made this movie better than the script showed. Good entertainment but that Mos Def has the most annoying voice I've ever heard (except for that actress from the Nanny)

The versatile Mr. Willis displays a tenacious side to his character as he is determined to complete his mission and deliver his witness safe and sound.

Excellent story line!!! Bruce Willis plays his part very well and lives up to his heroic character. The way that the movie portrays the police and politics is very realistic. This movie is interesting and keeps you rooting for these bad guys/good guys characters.

It's a movie that could have more action. Bruce Willis is looking old and he is always the hero or the strong man of the movies.

I watched this movie twice, and thats probrably all could take! The second time I watched it was on DVD, pretty much no real experience; although, for first time viewers it comes off as a well acted movie. I thought it could have been much better and the ending was well done. The movie was all about a drunken cop, who was transfering a convict witness, while driving him to the court, Bruce Willis drives by a liquor store and get a drink. The convict escapse a shooting and Bruce comes to the rescue! Movie was based in a one room environment. Done well though... clips of outside... over I liked the movie... one time watch.

My buddy and I rented this one night and it was entertaining. Good action and adrenaline, but also keeps you guessing as to how everything might work out in the end or if it will at all. I believe there is an alternate ending that was pretty cool and totally gives anothing set of emotions.

This movie is absolutely boring. It seems so long to get to 16 blocks. It's really a typical hollywood movie, with the impossible stunts and a boring dialogue. It just wasen't good. Come on they have to transport a prioner 16 blocks and the y find traffic and people are chasing them. Where is the Paddy wagon is all this..

This movie is absolutely boring. It seems so long even though it only lasts 1h40. Both characters were annoying, and they didn't have anything in common. It's really a typical hollywood movie, with the impossible stunts and the cheesy dialogues. It just wasen't good.

Good. But in a long line of similar movies like The Gauntlet. I like Butch, but he has played this same character, the beaten down cop, too many times recently. Mos Def gave a good performance.

What a great Thriller! It was non-stop action from start to finish. The movie didn't leave me with the feeling of "this could've been a lot better". No it was very very well done and Bruce Willis could have played this role his eyes shut. The storyline is excellent although hard to beleive. Nevertheless, the twists and turns are enough to keep you interested from start to finish and since its on DVD, it's a no brainer. A good thriller for the night.

A great underrated film. Bruce Willis gives off an amazing performance, and although Mos Def's character's voice can get annoying and sometimes hard to understand, it's a different role for Def and he played it well. Great film, for me, one of the leading contenders for best film of the year in my opinion. SO far.

Slightly boring, quiet a repetition of many other movies, Same old crap with same director! The scenario was very weak, not much change in locations where the events took place, the only good think would be the thrilling effects of shooting and the dolby sound! Bruce shouldn't make any similar movies alike.

There was something missing... thru the whole movie you find yourself waiting for some action from Bruce Willis's character. It's hard to see him harmless... Lack of action thats all I can say.

It was a grat movie, I would give it a 9 or 10, but it was too damn long. There were too many useless sequences where they interviewed the 'suspects' of the crime to add comic relief... Instead it wasted time and stalled the plot. Still a great movie though. Clive Owen is awesome.

Boring and it sucked!!! Same old crap with Bruce. How hard is it to make a movie in one location. First is inside a building, then a house and now 16 blocks. Cheap to make and sucks. Bruce should retire. So there...

Bruce Willis is terrific in his role as a policeman who has to take a prisoner to court. The action events are good. I think a little less talking and more action would have been great.

Although the plot was obvious, getting across 16 blocks and keeping the witness alive, you are held by the story line as other twist and turn come to light and also take the time to examine human nature.

Mos Def, Or whatever the heck his name is has GOT to be BANNED from ever making another movie. Christ is he annoying!!! I was expecting a heck of a lot more from this movie, something along the action and intensity of Hostage. Didn't even come close. Not Bruce's finest role.

Very little was heard about this movie pre release. I love it when I go and see a movie I know nothing about and come out smiling. This movie has rousing action, smarts, tight dialogue, heart and comedy. We really enjoyed it and recommend it to our friends. This was quite a different role for Willis.
