Seen it a long time ago and I'd like to see it again: I really have a good memory of it, as much as I can remember... Gerard Depardieu is good in every role he plays. And come on, has Bertolucci ever made a movie NOT watching? He's phenomenal! It's long, but so worth watching.

Lengthy and engaging. A very well told story about the turn of the last century in the last millenium.

Long movie but good. Donald Sutherland was at his best!

Seen many times at cinema and have a copy of SBS's 6 hour version. One of Bertoluci's finest movies that easily stands the test of time.

One of my all-time favourite films! Saw it twice in the theatre when it first came out and on TV/video numerous times since, usually in the lazy afternoon/evening of New Year's Day. There is also a dubbed English version out there, stay away from it. It doesn't do it justice. Great story, acted superbly, a true epic!

Yes! It's a very good one that deserves be seen twice, al least! I saw it in 1977 and I'd like to see it again but can't find it either in VHS or DVD - does anyone know where I can get it?

I loved the movie. Although it is quite long, I urge you all to watch it. It's very informative and Donald Sutherland is just great in it.

I first saw 1900 when it was originally in the theatres. I thought way back then that it was the most wonderful movie that I had ever seen. When it was released on video I rented it again. It is definitely a movie that has withstood the test of time. It continues to be one of my favorite films of all times. Every performance is outstanding. I've never seen Donald Sutherland give a more outstanding performance.
