Surprisingly good sci-fi adventure. Based on the Firefly show which I had watched once, but you don't need to have seen the show to appreciate the movie. It's got a great story, good dialogue, great action that you can follow (none of that frenetic camera jerkiness) and pretty good effects. My only complaint is that the captain of the ship seemed to be hogging the screen time. With a crew full of really interesting characters, they seemed to leave them by the wayside in order to give Mal all the fun.
