Based on the Clive Cussler novel of the same name, Sahara is a wild, fun-filled action movie that aims to entertain. It's a little silly at times and some plot resolutions seem a little convenient, but you're having too much fun to care. I doubted him at first, but I have to say Matthew McConaughey made a pretty good Dirk Pitt, and Steve Zahn as Al Giordino was a riot. Sahara was fun from start to finish and harkens back to the good ol' days of action movies where the action was the main reason to see it. PS. Wear sunscreen when watching this; it is possibly the brightest movie ever made.
