This movie starts off with a lot of nifty effects and scary tornadoes and whatnot, but really, after the halfway point, everyone's just chilling (pun DEFINITELY intended! ) in a library. The movie lacked a climax and it lacked any kind of decent suspense. One would expect to see nothing but special effects and lunatic action in this, a movie from the nut who brought you ID4 and Godzilla, but it all amounts to a big empty nothing. The whole point of Dennis Quaid's journey to New York to see his son is pointless and non-sensical. Whoever this Jake Goofenball kid is, he can't act his way out of a paper bag. Oh yeah, the dialogue is poop and did I mention not much happens? Go see Shrek 2, and if you've seen it already, go again.
