Rent National Lampoon's European Vacation first, then marvel at how Eurotrip copied it. Well, okay, they didn't copy that much, just the order of the countries they visited (Eurotrip had more, but the order of the others were exactly the same) and they played the same freakin' French song while doing a Paris montage as they did in European Vacation... during a Paris montage. That could not have been a coincidence. Other bad points: a little too predictable, a little too silly at times, and some of the situations were a little too convenient. Now for the good: it's just a fun, light-hearted romp. It's not meant to be intelligent humour, it's meant for you to sit down and belch out a few easy giggles for an hour and a half. There are no big-name stars here, except for a few little cameos, but all the lead roles are filled by actors I have never seen before, and this is a good thing. I didn't really need to see the same faces as in all the other movies, eg. Stifler, Ashton Kutcher, and Hilary Duff. Some of the situations are just plain hilarious... and there's a ton of full frontal nudity... of women AND men, giving it a distinct 80s feel. Anyways, if you're not too self-conscious to laugh at a really silly, but enjoyable comedy, go see it. If you think you're above low-brow humour, stay home and watch Frasier and pretend that's intelligent just because it uses big words.
