While I tend to find Eastwood a tad overrated as a director, I had to say I enjoyed this. It's not DiCaprio (who, as usual, tries to overstep his abilities as an actor) and certainly not the make-up (which is 1980s old man makeup bad), but the subject and the script. And Judi Dench. Plus there's a touching human story here that really packs a punch. I've always wanted to know more about J. Edgar Hoover. And now I do. A good time at the movies.
