I have always been a fan of the Bond flicks, up until that wretched bore Goldeneye came out in 1995 and turned me off. Tomorrow Never Dies was great and The World Is Not Enough was good, despite some ridiculous flaws. Die Another Day is a great action movie, but as a Bond flick, it's about average. The story is fairly standard and the effects (most of them) are terrific. Where it suffers is... the freakin' car!!! How did anyone think an invisible car made any sense. Even in Star Trek's 24th century, humans don't have this kind of technology. If it flew, I would have bought that more. The villain's robocop outfit was a little odd as well. As for Halle Berry being the best Bond girl ever, she does not hold a candle to Michelle Yeoh in Tomorrow Never Dies. She kicked butt! Berry was just a gimmick, who was easily outshined and outacted by the other Bond girl in this film, played by Rosamund Pike, and if they give Berry her own movie as Jinx, we Will all witness the demise of the James Bond franchise. Cubby must be spinning in his grave.
