Disappointing! Probably the worst of the CGI cartoons, unless you count Dinosaur. There were only a handful of good scenes and gags. Nearly all of the laughs came from Sid the Sloth's facial expressions. The story is dull and uninspired, sort of a cross between Dinosaur (migrating due to a prehistoric event) and Monsters Inc. (trying to return a baby) Toy Story 1 & 2, Monsters Inc, Shrek, Antz and even A Bug's Life were all ten times better than this. Another problem was that there was not enough variety of characters. You get the sloth (who was funny) , the sabretooth tigers (none of whom were funny), the mammoth (had a couple of good lines, but was mostly the straight man to the sloth) and the scrat (who was not really a character, but a sort of comic interlude) Oh yeah, and the rhinos were alright. Overall, a huge disappointment. I expect to be able to rate these CGI cartoons at least a 9/10. Had it not been for the friggin AMAZING Star Wars preview at the beginning, I might have given this a 5 or a 4. BOO!
