I initially vowed never to see this movie because the whole idea of fate is a load of horse-plop! But, my girlfriend wanted to see it, so... Anyways, I kinda liked it; it was cute. My girlfriend, however, did not; she gave it a 3/10. How seriously messed up is that?!? The acting and humour is great, John Cusack rocks and Kate Beckinsale is a total hotty. But, tell me, why the hell would a guy go to so much trouble to have a relationship with a chick who would let "fate" rule her life to such an extent. Heck, what if they got married and then years later, she got a sign that "fate" was telling her to break up with him, or to have an affair, or to sell their kids to some international sweatshop cartel? Fate should've told her to check into a friggin' mental institute!
