What this is is a standard Bond film with typical Bond girls, typical villains with a typical evil plot. Which would have been okay, but the action scenes were so heavy on the jerky camera garbage that leads me to believe movie studios are hiring epileptic camera operators in droves. Casino Royale was easily in the top 3 best Bond movies ever. This is somewhere in the bottom 40 percent. Craig was good, but not as good as in Casino, Judi Dench was irritating, and did I mention the nauseating camerawork? I seriously recommend you wait till DVD and watch it then; the big screen will only cause you pain and suffering. Note: my rating of 7 is only because I like Bond movies so much and despite its major shortcomings, this movie did feel like a Bond movie to some extent. The best thing about Quantum of Solace were the Bond girls, not just their looks, but their roles. Strawberry Fields was one of the best second-tier Bond girls ever, and I loved the nod to one of the classic Bond films. Marc Forster (the director) should have his license to direct revoked; 007 must be his IQ.
