Kate Kate Kate... well I guess you owed someone bigtime to do this movie. I can say we all learned something. Even though it's 60 below you can still have your face exposed all day with makeup looking good. It should be called Wipeout!!! Not whiteout.

"I dont understand those who question those people who gave this movie a bad rating." What I just wrote is a better plot development than the million dollars invested in this dismal adaptation of a contemporary comic strip. I don't know who got the money but those with real talent weren't payed enough to work haphazardly on this forgetful trite. For those who 'liked' this movie while criticizing those who legitimately did not... well I have my doubts on whether a form of payola is at play here eh? If not, well you are the reason why Hollywood keeps paying those who don't deserve a penny to put out worthless products like this one! And where people get duped to fork out a ridiculous price to watch!

Everyone has their own opinion about a movie, for me this was a really good movie, action, good picture and was very interesting. I do have to admit the end was a little bad.

Excellent movie. For those who like crime movies involving winter, money and planes, you'll live this one. Some panoramic shots are very good. Only some dialogs are sloppy but the rest is fine! A must see.

It was a an interesting movie 'it's not that bad' I was surprised from the rating, I like it but I didn't like the guessing end. Overall, worth to see.

Good movie, hard to understand the 4 and 3 ratings, I go to movies often and there are pretty bad ones out there, I enjoyed it very much thanks.

Kate Beckinsale is hot but she can't act at all. I suggest you don't see any of her movies. Terrible, terrible movie.

A huge disappointment. The storyline was bad, the acting was no better and there were too many lose ends that didn't make any sense. I left the theater wondering why I didn't believe the other reviews. Do yourself a favor, stay home.

"The script needed whiteout because the story was worse than watching a lifetime channel movie in the middle of winter. This movie was so awful even the snow in it wanted to leave. What a big waste of money. It should've been spent on shovelling all that snow in front of the cameras to cover up how terrible the movie was. I think a snowfall is more interesting and has more tension. I could go on but I have to go throw up from just thinking about how WB ever thought the script was even close to being as good as 100 blank" Whiteout pages. I agree.

I would wait for it to go on DVD. Wouldn't recommend to see in a theatre. Although I was on the edge on my seat a few times. It's not the best but it's still very interesting.

This film started out not too bad but left alot of things unanswered as the film progressed. I was hugely disappointed with the ending. This was one of those films that had alot of pre-release hype but really didn't cut it. Wait to rent it... save your money. :)

It was a good movie, fairly unpredictable, but had a lot of gross bloody stuff. Don't take young kids to see it! Or at least screen it first! There was a woman with her five year old daughter behind us. Don't do that!!

Don't even wait for it to come out as a rental. Stupid and predictable. Some of the scenes were ridiculous. They were walking around in minus 50 degree weather and for some reason, only their hands were at risk for frostbite. Faces were never covered in the outdoor scenes. A couple of actor's noses should have fallen off. Really, really bad. It's not the worst wovie that I have ever scenes (is Meet Job Black) but very close.

The ONLY reason I went to this movie was because Kate Beckinsale was in it. The film automatically gets a 5/10 due to Beckinsale's steamy hot shower scene 5 minutes into the movie!!! Thank you lord!! Unfortunately, the shower scene is the only good part in the whole movie. If not for that, I'd have given the movie my first ever 1 rating!

Don't understand the low score it got here. It's a decent thriller, and the antarctica background made it more interesting than other slasher movies recently (Bloody Valentine, Friday 13th, etc)

Please, please, please... I can not stress this enough, do not go see this movie. If I could have, I would have given this movie a 0. I've seen many movies in my life so far and this has got to rank in the top 4, even B movies are better since they are not trying to be serious or have a huge hollywood budget. I can not believe the director actually put is name on this p.o. s. I would not be proud if I was him. The acting was terrible and the plot totally predictable, everything in this movie has been done before and better. With the cost of going to the movies being what it is, Hollywood is laughing all the way to the bank with this one as well as laughing at anyone who goes to see this movie. Totally disappointed, please spend your money on another movie. You have been warned.

Generally weak, but this movie was based on a graphic novel that was not particularly interesting to begin with. The finished product is lacking in many areas, particularly the plot which plods along without any real excitement. There are a few scenes intended to inspire terror but they fail miserably to invoke much more than mild concern for the characters. The trailers for the movie are very misleading, insinuating the involvement of a much more sinister force or creature, but that is just creative advertising. Whiteout fails to deliver.

The action is repetitive (it all happens in the same situation and location) and the plot line is dull. The movie never sceames to hit a climax. Other than that, the acting was ok and some scenes were kind of intertaining.

Absolutely no redeeming qualities what-so-ever. No script, the acting was brutal and a mindless presentation. The movie was suppose to take place in the antarctic with temps below -60C and the characters didn't even wear face protection! I didn't know that Kate Beckinsale's careen was that poor that she had to agree to act in this movie. I would rather visit the dentist than view this movie again.

Uggh... how I'm so looking forward to Winter and it's only September :( Anyway, this one wasn't as bad as many of the reviews so far, but did stretch the "believe-ability" envelope at times. Anyone who has really experienced -50 C weather can pick out many flaws in this movie... but hey... it's Hollywood. Does it ever get below freezing there? Anyway, neat that some scenes were filmed in Manitoba. At least there are other places that look as cold as where I live. However, at the end of the day, I'd much rather see more of Kate sweating on a beach with a lot less clothes on that bundled up in Antarctica ;)

Bad just plain bad. The story, the setting, the acting all poor. I was looking forward to see how they would put together a movie in the Antarctic and hoped the story line would be fair to good. It's cold in the Antarctic it not supposed look like a bad day on the ski hill with the main actress dressed in Paris fashion. It’s a wonder they didn’t have her run around in high heels. The story line unbelievable?

Horrible! Me and my friend predicted everything that was going to happen 10 minutes into the movie. Bad bad bad location continuity, it's supposed to be set in the Antarctic but she never wears a face covering for the entire movie and never gets frostbite. Don't go see it in the theatre, it's a waste of money.

Imagine the story of a pole vaulter who breaks the Olympic record even though his left foot is surgically amputated one hour before his big event. If you can believe that could happen, then you will like this movie. Otherwise, it's like watching snow on television.
