Even the Gods on Olympus were tapping their toes to this film. Really a delightful treatment of ABBA. Amanda Seyfried was perfectly cast as Sophie and Meryl Streep was a hoot as Donna. The island setting was fabulous. All the production numbers were well staged and the cast and locals thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Only poor old Pierce Brosnan was a bit of a strain--his quavering voice sounded like a cross between a harpsichord and a cheese grater. But he was earnest and the final scenes a delightful twist. Wish I had seen the stage show."I have a dream...
