If I had paid 10$ to watch this movie I would give it a 4/10, but I rented it so I'm giving it a 7. It's a good movie to rent when you don't wanna see a masterpiece and just wanna relax and be entertained. You really have to be in that kind of mood to enjoy this movie. It's not a long movie and the suspense is there, so good for rental. Hayden Christensen is a bad actor, every emotion he portrays feels like... nothing... he's by far the worst actor and makes Jessica Alba look like a 3 time oscar winner.

This movie was better than I thought it would be, but it was still really disturbing. I have had heart surgery, so watching that part was really disturbing for me and the ethics of the doctors and the manner they used in the operating room seemed far fetch. However, the movie kept me interested and there was some interesting plot twists that surprised me. It is definitely worth watching.

I thought this was a great movie, I couldn't have guessed the ending. The only thing I was disappointed with was the acting, other than that, it was great!

Yeahh I'm a huge Jessica Alba fan but I have to give it a 6 (and I'm been nice) cuz It was a bit dumb... like Which Doctors operate their friends? N-e ways besides that it was allright... I just Love Jessica Shes awesomeee First time I see her as a bad guy in a moviee wich was Amazinggg!!!

Best line exiting the theatre by other audience members: "I couldn't even stay awake during Awake". Plot holes so big you can drive a truck though them. Uh, hello... doctors can't operate on friends. Should have renamed it "Mommy's Boy". And let's not forget the horrible acting. One of the worst films all year.

One of the best films I have seen for the last 5 years. I think many people are disappointed with it because they expected a horror movie with bunch of zombies walking around and they did not show up. I think there is a good story of betrayal and mother’s love in this film. It’s hard to follow and only in the end you get what it is about (which is great)If you like movies that actually have beginning and the end (quite surprising end), you should go see it!

What an amazing movie! Really excellent, I went to see it with a friend and we were just blown away with the twists. Graphic, yes, but if you watch television shows such as Grey's Anatomy, you know it's just all in good fun. A must see, one opf the best in 2007.

Well being a MAJIOR Hayden Christensen fan I knew this movie would be good and have been anticipating it since fall of 2006. Anyway my expectations were met with this thriller. I found the acting, as opposed to what some may think, amazing to the point of excellence. I don't know why some people hold a grudge against Hayden Christensen, I have heard multiple negative comments about his acting in Star wars 2/3. I personally never noticed... or maybe I was just too focused on his face to witness the acting. Either way he pulled of the last two star wars and he also pulled off awake. I also found Jessica albas role in the movie to be something of a shock. I always believed she was a Ben stiller type of actor ALWAYS playing the same parts over and over. Yet this role for Jessica was good. It took all my previous thoughts and booted them, good for her, she played it very well. I honestly recommend this movie to anyone and Everyone and I anticipate Christensens next film!!

I was kinda disappointed w/ this movie because I expected so much more. Lets just say that the PLOT sucked. I only went to watch this movie really because Jessica Alba was in it and the previews looked really good but then when it came to the actually movie it was really lacking in excitement. I think that Jessica Alba played it well though and the twist was okay but I would have rather watched this movie when it came out rather than watching it at the theater.

I wanted to see this movie because I experienced "anesthetic awareness". It was so real with a great storyline and plot. I went because of my personal experience and would highly recommend this movie.

I went not expecting much... and was pleasantly surprised. I thought the idea was interesting but wondered how they could possibly go on with it for two hours. But it ended up keeping my attention 'till the end. Now, I'm not saying it's the best movie ever made but if you feel like watching a good thriller movie and aren't disturbed by surgical procedures, you should consider seeing this movie.

Roger ebert was right: don't listen to all the bad reviews, this is a good movie. There was nothing else out there to see so I took his advice and went and saw it. I'm glad I did. It was a cool story with a creative plot. And good acting. Kind of short, but it was very entertaining!

To say I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. I was thrilled by every aspect of this movie. The acting was excellent. The writing was top notch. The directing was perfect. The music "themes" created the perfect background. But the true genius behind this movie is the editing. The way this drama-thriller was pieced together showed a real master touch. The pace is dead on, the mood is just right. This is what going to the movies should be all about: an escape from every day life, a journey that stays with you and keeps you talking about it in amazement... all the way home! I was tired from a long day at the office, and the only reason I chose this movie was because of its convenient start time. Being tired raised the bar, as the movie had to be very good and very well paced to keep my interest. And boy was it ever. I won't give any spoilers, as I certainly had not heard anything about this movie, either positive or negative, except for seeing the short trailer. So I want you to have the same experience I had, which is to see this flick without any idea of what you are about to see. Do yourself a favor: don't talk to people who have seen it, and try not to watch or read any interviews with the stars of the movie. Just go and see it. You won't regret it.

Wow, I have to admit I was very surprised with this movie. I went into it without knowing what it was suppose to be about and I was pleasently surprised. I thought it was an interesting story line that had some unexpected twists. I would definitely recommend this!

[...] This movie is almost as bad as I Know Who Killed Me. Could the commercial have given away anymore key things about the movie?!?! I mean C'MON! And since when can civilians just walk into the OR during a heart transplant?. the hell?! This movie would actually work better, I think, as a stage production. Anyway, as a feature film, it's absolutely terrible. This is the 4th movie in a row which has had a really dumb ending (last 5 seconds of the movie) definitely not recommended.

Don't bother with this movie... it makes up for what the trailer shows you by taking your money and already telling you 70% of the story. The acting was very over dramatic and Haden screams so much it's like he doesn't have an inside voice. It's only saving grace is the length, because you can leave quicker. I would not recommend this to anyone in any circumstance.
