User's review

This quiet, compassionate film is about unconditional acceptance, both of others and ultimately, of yourself. Sigourney Weaver gives an Oscar-worthy performance that is fearless and unsentimental. Her remarkable portrayal of a complex character provides the audience with a deep insight into autism. Alan Rickman, always a delight to watch, gives an understated but deeply emotional and heartbreaking performance as a vulnerable, broken man. The film’s romantic relationship between Rickman and Carrie-Anne Moss is unique and quite unpredictable.
