Not a bad movie. Lots of action, some cool shoot outs. The ending blew however. It's like they just decided to stop filming... brutal. And the girl who played the big wigs wife = horrible job.

The only decent parts in this movie are the action scenes. Statham and Li are, in four words, not very good actors. Actually, Li manages to achieve a Keanu Reeves style performance here, almost sleepwalking through the film. The "twist" basically screws up the whole movie, and the ending is borderline brain-dead. Oh oh! He jumped into his fancy-pants car and drove away! This is a suitable conclusion to a terrible film. Because the ending is terrible. If you want to see Statham do some decently funny and exciting stuff, watch Crank, which is actually, you know, good.

How Rogue manages to create the war between the two clans is interesting, the action isn't the best I've seen of Jet Li, or from Statham, but it will do.

Not as bad as I thought it might be based on all of the negative reviews. I knew that there was very little martial arts coming into it but I thought the movie was decent overall.

I was seriously disappointed with this movie. When you see that it has Jason Statham and Jet Li you think it is going to be amazing, but it really wasn't. Also I thought they could have put in a little more martial arts.

Jason Statham and Jet-Li, not a good match in the movie, WAR, very poor plot. In this movie I couldn't tell who is the lead star and who is the supporting star. With Jet-Li, I expect a lot more for his special talent in martial arts, and with Jason Statham (a great actor) I do not know what to expect. Previous movie "The One" which had Jason Statham as co-star, was a much better action-packed movie with great story.

Great movie! The visual effects were well done and set the mood for each scene flawlessly. The storyline was excellent with a few big surprises! However some fight scenes would be better viewed from farther away so as to fully capture the full motion. Overall an excellent movie with the perfect actors for their parts.

Really well done the story was unexpected some surprises here and there if u just wanna be etertained and see hot fights well thats your movie.. although the music theme was a bit too strong for that kind of movie but thats okay. Good story good music hot car good story fast paced / and not ridiculously fast if you're not too sure about it all go see it on a tuesday it costs less and you could go see another movie afterwards just incase u hate the movie (which is hard to believe).

Much better than I thought it would be after reading the reviews. One question however. Does facial surgery change your general demeanour and gait? Watch the movie and you'll see what I mean. At least it's stylish, better than Death Sentence.

Same old recycled cop/bad guy movie. I love Jason Statham, but he was just another cookie-cutter character in a story that has been filmed at least 100 times. Save your money-don't even rent the video. 1 interesting twist tied up some loose ends, but it still sucked.

I personally thought war was a great movie - I was really surprised at some of the comments people made about the movie- Jet Li was good- and Jason Statham is sexy as ever- the ending was awesome and had a great unexpected twist - hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

I should've came reading the ratings first. I was really expecting martial arts in this movie (what a waste of having Jet Li in it!) The story isn't really that hard to understand, but rather the fact that there's too many shooting and violence leave me frustrated.

You're better off renting an old chinese flick translated in english. Ya sure the mouth and lips may move at different times of the actual dialogue but at least you're expecting that and you at least get to see a little martial arts. This movie must be, by far, the worst movie I have seen in a very LONG time... From the get go you have the cheesiest character playing super hero cop-remember Stallone in Cobra... Well this is the other dumb twin... Comes with tooth pick and all. Folks over 30... Please don't waste your hard earned dollars on this waste of film... ANYTHING else in the line up is undoubtedly better. We only saw it cause we finished a good training class and thought we'd just go check out a Jet Li martial arts film... We should've kept training another hour and go home for a shower.

It is a very solid thriller. Not as much martial arts as I would like to see, but a lot of shooting and violence. The ending is very interesting too - unlike some other reviewers, apparently...

Whatever happened to martial arts? If it's martial arts you are looking for you won't find it in this movie. Jet and Jason trade in their skills for a gun. Very disappointing coming from these guys. However not a bad plot for an average run of the mill flick, if that is what you are looking for. The action never really makes it to the screen and the viewer is expected to assume the footage, such as the car chase scene which is nothing but a bunch of close ups of cars ended by a crash scene, which is synonomous of the movie as a whole. Lacking big time in cinematography, choreography and direction.

Awww! What a bummer. It kills me to give Jason Statham and Jet Li a 4, but what crap. I was bored. It came out of the gate strong, but just kept getting worse and worse. The ending made me want to scream curse words out loud. Haha. Skip it.

This was a good action movie, not as good as I was expecting though. I thought that there would be way more fighting scenes considering it has Jason Statham and Jet-Li. It was a pretty good movie until they had to add in the crappy ending! Otherwise, it was well done.

Imagine your most disappointing moment in life... Then multiply it by 100. If any film was guilty of false advertising this is it. Why cast Statham and Li only to have them 'act' for 88 mins. This film may have well starred Meryl Streep and Barbara Streisand. The 2 minutes of actual fighting in the movie cuts so frantically you cannot see what is happening. Spend your time and money more wisely and watch 'The Transporter' and 'The One' on DVD.

I believe this new movie with Jet Li and Jason Statham is called Rogue in the UK. I love both these guys as martial artists (although Jet Li is clearly the better of the two) and thus had been looking forward to it for a while. Overall the movie didn't disappoint with both storyline and fighting (although there is hardly any martial art fighting seen; its mostly gun play) but it did disappoint highly where the ending and the hyped up fight between Li and Statham was concerned. It seems like every time we have two great martial artists in a movie these days, the fight between them is rushed and pitiful. Take the fight in Cradle to the Grave between Dacoscos and Li. Unbelievably bad and highly rushed! The "fight" in this at the end is over in like 2 minutes and there is no martial arts involved which is a complete waste of both actors. I would wait for this to be released in the video store and even then only rent it if you like Jet Li.
