User's review

I prefer intellectually stimulating movies at art houses to the schlock I find from Hollywood, but sometimes I think we all take ourselves too seriously and forget how to laugh harmlessly at ourselves. Sure this movie pokes fun at all kinds of cultures and stereotypes, but it is so obviously tongue-in-cheek parody, and people who are offended need to lighten up. I am 48 years old, I hated Titanic and Pearl Harbour, loved Leaving Las Vegan and American Beauty, and I thought this movie was refreshingly hilarious. Maybe it's because I was weaned on National Lampoon (the magazine, not the lame movies) in my teenage years, but I think we have to know there is a difference between the hateful Rush Limbaugh type of entertainment and stuff like this. Go and laugh! My wife, my 17 year old son, and I all did.
