User's review

Gangster movies just don't get any better than this. The Departed is the most repulsive film you'll love. Not for the faint of heart, the film does dispense quite a blood bath... the riveting violence of this movie is gripping. It paints a clear picture of the ugliest of the underworld. However, the story itself is nothing new... the scenario has been played out many times, good cop, bad cop, gangsters, but for fans of these movies, they never seem to tire of them and they're always craving more. Jack Nicolson, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Matt Damon all give stunning performances, and Alec Baldwin and Mark Wahlberg do not fail to disappoint either. One thing that I didn't know was that this movie is actually a remake to a chinese version titled "Infernal Affairs". Overall, this film is very good and keeps you on the edge of your seat, and there are twists and turns at every corner, with a ending that will leave you in awe. Please be cautioned though by the liberal use of foul language, sexual situations, and extreme violence that this movie delivers. If none of this bothers you, then yes, go see it. The Departed is a good, entertaining flick to see, and it will more than likely win an Oscar..
