The Prestige is a very entertaining film. The scenes captured on stage are magical, particularly the part with the Tesla machine. The story basically revolves around two assistants to a magician who decide to go solo. Without giving too much away, they both try to outdo the other by creating the best trick ever seen. What happens ends up being a scientific breakthrough that will not only destroy both lives, but may upset the entire balance of the human race. Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman, and Scarlett Johannson, and even singer/actor, David Bowie really all set the floor ablaze in this one. The film also captures the aura of 19th turn of the century London, and of course who could forget Michael Caine, the ever talented and greatest star of all. Liked this show alot... two thumbs up.
