I disagree with you, the plot is not ridiculous! Is life of a strange family it's ok, nethertheless, a welded and a attaching family! I have loved this movie! It's so fresh and funny.

In 1970 there were lots of girls who looked like olive, and she played the part very well, she stole the show and this movie is for all ages. One last thing for sure if lots of girls look back at their old 1970s pictures they might find one looking just like olive in little miss sunshine, I sure do go see it this is a collectors item.

That wasn't good at all. The ending was horrible! Yet, the actors and actresses, including olive were amazing. The grandfather grabbed my attention towards the beginning. Uhm, so go see it if you wish but don't expect too much at all!

I liked the movie. Something different from Hollywood for a change. Usually its re-makes. But the rating should have been 13 and over.

The best dark comedy/drama I have seen in easily the past decade! Cast was near-perfect with Alan Arkin showcasing his talents to a wide audience and being honored with an academy award nomination for best supporting actor, which is well deserved. Honestly, I could not find a single thing I did not like about this movie. The characters are all messed up in their own ways, divorce, depression, suicide, bankruptcy... it's all there. But in the end, this movie goes to show how one can overcome anything with loved ones on your side. Hope it wins best picture!

I loved it, I thought it was so cute and funny and different. I haven't seen anything like this is a while. I went to see it with my boyfriend and we were both surprised that It was that good. We saw it when there wasn't alot of talk about it so were really walked out of there surprised. I don't think it's a good movie for younger children because of the language but for people older I think you'll it.

Great movie. The last 15 minutes are hilarious! You can see where the van is going the whole way, but you canÂ’t steer these losers onto a better course. They have something to tell us about dreams. A good rental night video. An impressive introduction to the acting career of Abigail Breslin.

GO SEE IT (now on DVD) I cant wait to watch it for the 2nd time (which I typically never do) All actors were perfect - I love Steve C. Too funny for words especially if youve owned an older VW Van or car in your past. Its sooo true to life. Not 'hollywood-ish' glitzy and glamourous, just an outrageous true-life movie that will keep you laughing from start to finish. A Must See!

Most movies have one really exceptionally entertaining character. For exampler Jack Sparrow or many other comic reliefs. The thing with this movie is that all of the Characters are exceptionally entertaining. They are amazingly well written with their own unique and funny characteristics. You would think with the characters being this good that the story would lack. But it doesn't. The story always grasps a message that it tries to get through to the audience. The dialouge and every little bit is not out of character or out of what you would expect. The ending was great in a sense that it made you feel good without being completely obvious like a Disney cartoon. If you have any self comfidence you will go and see this movie and you will love it hopefully as much as I did. As long as you don't get offended by any of the subject matter. I gave this a 10 because I would not be able to think of anything wrong with this movie if I tried. Great story Great Characters Great script Great acting Great humor Great meaning A Great use of your time.

This is a true work of art. Every character is well developed and loveable. I took my kids and their grandpaw the second time I saw it. Everone should have this type of grandparent or strive to be this kind of senior. Love it.

My favorite kind of movie."A day in the life of"... In this case "a family". While every family does not experience these exact situations, they do experience all of the "stuff" in these situations. Very well done, very meaningful and very well acted. Go see this one, Oscar material.

Stellar cast! Crossing from hysterically funny to poignant, the movie doesn't miss a beat. I especially liked the kids, who were real and not caricatures. Try it, you'll like it. Its worth buying the DVD and seeing again and again.

Worst movie I have ever seen. Did not laugh once. It was actually depressing. The story line was simple, the ending was stupid and I cannot see how anyone with any intelligence could have enjoyed it. I have just learned not to go by reviews from other people. Unbelievably bad movie.

You have got to be kidding! This is comedy? What a total waste of time. It was so bad that a couple sitting behind us left part way though this sad excuse for a movie. We would have walked out as well but decided to wait and see what everyone was raving about in all those other reviews that combined to give this pointless piece of garbage a 9 out of 10! No accounting for taste I guess.
