[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.]
This 1975 film, showing at only one theatre here in Toronto, has not yet been modified to the current technology. Shame, as the dominant aspects of this film are the windswept landscape and a soundtrack that goes hand-in- hand with it. Straight out of Camus, it is absent of the violence that we see in theatres today. Yet the soundtrack creates a tension that borders on unbearable. A young Jack Nicholson portrays a character at the crossroads of life. Not a film for folks who insist on happy endings.
