This movie was twisted and disturbing, therefore I loved it! No "Hollywoodizing" in this movie. Hollywood turns out so much crap it's hard to believe that someone in a studio approves it for release. This was definitely not one of those movies!!! It was raw and entertaining.

Well this was better than that stupid movie House of 1000 Corpses but in saying that it still sucked. Again Zombie rips off a lot of other movies in this sequel and its neither shocking or scary like the trailers made it out to be. Thank God Sheri Moon wasn't annoying in this one with that stupid irritating laugh. Also the only thing that ties the first movie in with the sequel is the family; why even bother to put the ghouls under the graveyard in the first movie if they had absolutely nothing to do with the second? Bizarre. I think Rob Zombie should stick with what he does "best" and make music since he can't direct, has no original ideas for horror movies and rips off other movies. I'm fully expecting him to destroy Halloween. Yet more evidence he can't come up with his own ideas.

Pretty interesting movie, lacks Rob Zombie style gore and violence though. Zombie tells the story of the starring characters exceptionally well, its definitely a unique horror experience, a must see for and horror or Rob Zombie fans!!

Rob Zombie cannot act, the second rate b-list hollywood actors that appeared in this movie looked like oscar contenders compard to Rob and his talentless wife. No scares. No suprises. No originality. If your not going to have a engaging story at least have buckets of gore, If your not going to have buckets of gore, then have a engaging story, this movie has neither.

Enjoyed the first movie and enjoyed this one as well but not quite as much. The first movie (while it borrowed from other films) seemed more fresh and this time around seemed more of a regular Hollywood movie, albeit a brutal bloody one. If you liked the first one, how can you not find out what happens to Otis, Baby and the rest of 'em?

I saw the first one and lefd it, saw the second one and loved it! 7 or 8 people left the theatre and didn't return which tells you it's not for the weak and quivering type. If you like sick and twisted it's a must see.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] Hmmm... well I wish I know a better word to describe this pathetic so called horror movie but I all can come up with is it sucked... it really sucked, it was probably the worst movie I have ever seen... [...] There is hardly any gore, this is suppose to shock you? Hows that? From the guy skining that other guys face and then wearing it? Or ahh... what else is shocking? Maybe that girl getting hit by the truck? Anyway this movie was weak I was seriously looking at my watch and I dont do that often... [...]

As a continuation to House of 1000's corpses, Zombie did a very good job, it is full of excitement as his previous. Action and suspense throughout, and a memorable ending.

It was okay, the acting was sub par and the directing and writing where a little bit "student film"ish but it was okay. I wasn't overly scared or anything but the story was somewhat plausable and slightly intrigueing. Meh, it's ok.

I am the most pathetic kind of horror addicts: I see them all but then I end up so scared I can't sleep. The worst movie for me was House of 1000 corpses - I thought I was getting tougher but that one marked me so badly I have been having recurring nightmares since. You know? The kind that leaves you shaking and paralyzed in bed caus you are convinced Otis is right there besides you? So I went to see Devils for closure - I had to find out what happened next. It is true that this movie is not scary at all, especially compared to the last, it is true that it lacks the intensity and the suffocating creepiness, but it is far from useless. It's fascinating to see how frail the line between good and evil is - the vengeance was really appealing and the Unholy Two were just truer psychotics than the Firefly clan - they simply had no emotions, death is just their business. They made Otis look like the neurotic [...] he is. The fall of the clan was masterfully portrayed. I understand how some fans must feel cheated - the evil ones uncovered as losers... and to think they scared us so much. Thanks Rob. Combined with House, Devils becomes an essay on fear. We don't find out what sparked these maniacs into action, but we understand what allows them to prevail. In the end, they are just a little bit of flesh and sinew as wasily torn appart as we are. Anyway, for me Devils was therapeutic and it served as a good way to dispell fear and tame it. If you see this movie expecting nothing, you'll be surprised on how it forces you to rethink your values. If you are a thinking movie-goer that is...

Well what can I say that hasn't already been said... besides the fact that I was disappointed with this movie. I was more pissed off that Tiny looked almost identical to Freddy Kruger (almost a blatent ripoff) I thought the first one was ok, it was a combination of TCM and a few others. I was hoping for more creativity and originality this time around. I wasn't expecting to count the deaths on one hand either. I am still not sure what drove this family to the brinks of hell and destruction and I would have like to have found out. I guess we'll never know. If Rob was to ever make another movie I would have to think twice about going to a theatre to see it. I had big hopes for him, I thought he was going to be the next King of Scream, I unfortunately thought wrong...

A great revenge movie, the scene where the sherif nails ottis and Capt. Spaulidng to the chair was really well shot. Not as good a House of 1000. This one isn't as violent but it is more intense. Loved the way the ending was shot.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] I expected a grisly bloodshed from beginning to end but was disappointed as violent scenes were scarce and lacked intensity. The three main characters are supposed to have perpetrated 75 murders in the past, mainly teenage girls as suggested, but the insanity and love for mercyless brutality doesn't appear enough in these characters, especially Cpt. Spaulding (the clown) who acted more like a harmless uncle than like the scary psycho he looks like. Does he even kill one person in the movie? When they acted insane, like the mother, it fell flat because of the low quality of the acting and script. If these characters killed 75 people in the past, then the movie shows them at their lowest point, when they have become weak and listless; no wonder why they get tortured by a cop and suffer the fate they get at the end. Also the movie lacks diversity in locations and events, probably because it had a small budget.

UNORIGIONAl!!! The rating on this flimsy little project should be "Texas Chainsaw Masacre LIGHT"! C'mon Rob, you could at least have made up for your lack of creativity by adding a little story telling convention called "tension". As for attmpting to add sympathy for your so called bad asses; that was already done in "Natural Born Killers" and it was done a hell of a lot better than this little romantic/comedy that you're trying to peddle as a horror flick. The only horror I experienced was imagining Rob Zombie being allowed to make another film. Rob Zombie is as talentless at making movies as he is at making music; his image and his ideas are tired to the point of being pathetic, we should actually feel sorry for the guy.

You know I really liked the directing of this movie. ROb zombie did a great job. You will see this movie and think that its more of an amateur movie than a professional picture and on some points you may be right but there are a number of details that I like. The first is the characters. I think these characters are great to watch because they are realistic as much as they seem insane. Secondly, I loved the way the film goes from one scene to another with different effects, that was somewhate original to me (even though this type of effect would not work in most summer blockbusters ), 3) I LOVED the ENDING!!! There is a sort of ingenuity iun the way the movie displays these criminals as control seeking individuals getting off on making others fear them. The mind game is really what it is all about and its hardly as clearly (and realistically) depicted in movies as it is in this one. My best advice is that this movie is obviously there for people who want to watch something different. If you are looking for a little story of criminals and sheriffs out for revenge with a twist, then this is for you. For others who are skeptic about this kind of movie give it a chance!!!

This was awe inspiring. Great action, trully sick acts that have to be seen to be believed. Character developement was superb. For those that say that this film is not a masterwork, go see more tripe like the curse or house of wax! This movie also did a rare, I loved the rejects and felt sorry for some of thier victims, I, ve never felt that before in this genre. Bassically house of 1000 corpses is irrelevant, the charectors have been transposed into what is another reality. 1000 corpses was but a dream of hell, this is the real thing. From the stunning makeup department ( otis looks 10 times more badasss) and zombies obscenly gorgeos wife Sheri Moon zombie lives up to her sporting the greatest lo_rider jeanz I, ve ever seen. Don, t how she kept them on at all! Any film begins with midnight rider and ends freebird is allright by me. Add on a where have I seen them before cast, including some horror icons. More random thought... this film almost made almost as much as the island despite having about one tenth the budget and on thousansds of less screens. I drove an hour and a half to see this film and watch 3 times. Hope to save my pennies and do it again. Thanks (rob zombie) for reinventing the wheel.

I read the reveiws and it seems that people would rather see the same thing a million times or just can't handle the limits being pushed a little. I have to give zombie a lot of credit for building these killers into somthing more than 1 demensional shark like butchers. I want to route for the bad guys and I want them to go through the ringer thats what makes things interesting. I love the way zombie makes all the kills count, he makes you feel the pain. Go into this movie with an open mind. Try to think about what if this was happening to me. Most people watch horror telling themselfs "I am not scared" and if you have to reassure yourself like that you will ruin all horror movies and miss out on feeling scared and isn't that the whole point?

Where to start, first I think that the rating of 18+ is exagerated, it's proabbly that way for the sole reason that it's a Rob Zombie movie... This may be his Reservoir Dogs, this movie has a lot of similarities as well as a lot of differences with Reservoir Dogs, it may not be as well organised and popular, but it sure had the violence and story. THe story was a bit too short in my opinion, just like the movie... This movie is very very brutal, and I do not recommend anybody under 17 to watch it, 17? Simply because it 18+ doesnt feel right, it isnt a really adult content movie, mainly just crazy brutality, it should be 17+ witha clear warning that this is very brutal and hard for a movie, but most of the people would expect that of rob zombie;).. Enough of the age, the movie itself was good, it isn't exactly a horror movie, more of an extremely violent action one, I personnaly am a huge fan of Tarantino, and I enjoyed the movie, there is more or less one scary bit, but other than that it's a big load of brutality, but there wasn't enough actions, time goes by too fast the movie is ending when you do not realise it, other than that, it was a great movie, if you like tarantino movies and arent afraid of taking it one step further in gore, its perfect, I definitely recommend it to all the people that arent afraid of blood!

I went to see this film out of morbid curiosity as to what all the flap was about. I found that this is quite possibly the worst movie ever made. The only redeeming factor was that it was so bad that in parts it was campy. The director/writer/"artistic driving force" is a creature named Rob Zombie. Assuming that he knows something about film making (a rather large assumption), one is left wondering what in the world he is trying to say. The script is puerile in the extreme, the acting would normally not pass kindergarten standards, the cinematography gave me a headache, the editing was choppy. Overall, this film was produced produced by mistake. Unfortunately, I can see this movie as being successful. The screening I attended was full, [...] Rob Zombie has NO talent, and obviously no one, especially his parents, ever had the wherewithall to tell him so. [...]

Predictable from the start, and the ending is a poor copy of other, finer movies. The photography caught my attention at the outset but that was the only positive. The characters, in spite of opportunities, remained one-dimensional throughout.

This move was not worth paying to see. I would have to say the worst movie I have ever seen. Not a scary movie, not intense, just plain old blood and guts every now and then and not even good effects for it. Was sort of a rip off of some parts to the chainsaw massacre, and house of a thousand corpses but with-out all the good screen play. Sorry can't recommend the movie save your money and go see Dark water for something scary or riveting.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] This was the worst movie of all time. House of 1000 Corpses (the first one) was both original and entertaining, with a dark-comedy appeal to it, which made me want to see this one because I thought the first one was a lot of fun... A sadistic horror/gore/comedy... Unfortunately this wasn't the case. It's a story of despicable characters that are first made out to be villains, and then later glorified to be heroes. The director obviously can't decide whether or not he wants the audience to love or hate the main characters (ie: the rejects), and the plot shifts course on you a couple of times leaving you shaking your head in confusion. Who exactly are the main characters supposed to be? The scenes are excessively violent, and the dialogue is weak [...]in almost every sentence. The criteria to which the rejects deem you to be friend or foe is vague and confusing. They're on a killing-spree and they decorate their house with the dead, but you never learn why they do that (or what obscene philosophy drives them).. what you do learn is that these sociopathic incestuous people are capable of making friends and having a good time. This was a big surprise, but I guess they made it believable somehow because the 'friend' was a local proprietor of a whorehouse, and a 'good time' meant prostitutes, drinking, and drugs. It just made no sense and I wanted to walk out after the first half of the movie. Who was the good guy and who was the bad guy? Total garbage... Bad acting, bad writing, bad story, at the end you're waiting for the credits... Do NOT waste your time or money on this movie... you'll spare yourself a lot of disturbing nonsense.
