This movie is a fascinating portrayal of country legend Johnny Cash and the powerful mark he made on the world with his rough & tough style of song, and his one of a kind voice. This is the story of one man's determination and courage to climb to the top, despite the many obstacles he was faced with... drugs, alcohol, his first marriage gone sour, and the demands made on him by the people he worked alongside with. However, before I saw this movie, I didn't know very much about Johnny Cash's life, particularly about the earlier years. Also, we come to see how two people find each other in the life of stardom, fall in love, and become husband and wife. June Carter and Johnny Cash, according to the story, shared a strong chemistry. The performances by Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon are truely outstanding. I definitely think this movie is worthy of an Oscar. If you haven't yet seen Walk The Line, then what are you waiting for... GO SEE IT! This is one movie not to be missed..
