Hogwart is hosting the Trizwizard tournament as Harry, Hermione and Ron are returning for their fourth year at the school for young and gifted wizards-to-be. Despite not putting his name as a contestant for the tournament, Harry's name is called and is obligated to take part in the three perilous tasks. Mike Newell is helming this fourth film. He follows in the path of Chris Columbus and Alfonso Caron. Unlike Cuaron, Newell doesnt bring anything special to the film, simply putting another outting in the Potter series. There is nothing wrong with it though, he doesnt diminish the material as the script is kind of solid for what it is. The characters keep growing and it shows. There are hints of love interests and the first tension appears among the holy trio of friends. As usual, there is a new teacher, this time played wonderfully by Brendan Gleeson. As for the rest of the cast, it's the same, nothing as changed, they have fun and the kids are still understanding more and more how to bring depth to their characters. Visually speaking Golblet of Fire isnt too bad, with darker cinematography which was introduced by Cuaron and some neat special effects. John Williams isnt back scoring the film and it shows, the music isnt as memorable. Though the new composer manages to make the climax quite uplifting, even though it was obvious the entire movie was building until that moment, which marks the return of Harry Potter's parents, Lord Voldemort, looking creepy as played by Ralph Fiennes. The fourth entry in the Harry Potter is one used as bridge between the third and fifth film, but it's not totally pointless because of the character development involved and some fine entertainment. Not bad.

Despite the fact that there are moments in the script that are awkwardly written and directed. With several visually spectacular action sequences, new characters, and heavy subplots. You are guaranteed to enjoy this one more than the other three Harry Potter movies. It isn't as glorious, satisfying, and enchanting as the first two movies. But the Goblet of Fire is spectacularly well done for what it is.

Are they going to continue with more of this crap. It's only rare to have a good Harry Potter movie. But this is the worst one so far. They just keep on getting worse. The biggest problem I have with this one is that Mike Newell likes to slack off a make it seam like a waste of time. He adds in some humorous spots, but while the cast go through puberty, he pretty well ruins the whole series. The development was very slow, that could have been executed way better. And everything feels loose, even at the worst of situations. And the new actor for Dumbldore, well as he destroyed the character in the the 3rd, he does it even worse. Just give him a razzie. He seems 20 years younger in comparison to the first two. Another disappointment: Don't go walking in expecting good family-fun, there is no family references at all to relate to. It's darker, way more sexual and full of innuendos. This is definitely the most forgettable Harry Potter yet. The worst one too.

This is 1 of the best Harry Potter movie yet. Lots of action. The competition was really nice. I hope they make another Harry Potter that is like this.

A good movie, not great, not superb, or perfect, just good. It is the darkest of the trilogy, and at least tries to bring tears for the audience, and does. I cried at the end, I'm not going to spoil anything though. It's a long exciting masterpiece that is better than the first, but is not as good as the second and third. Well, this one and the second are pretty equal, but the second one is better. I like the story, it has a story the way the first one should have been written. But this is just a success and exactly stylishly what I had expected. Worth it.

Harry Potter and his friends have enlightened the minds of many people. Harry Potter has brought back the imagination that becomes lost as an adult. The movie has two faces, one in the fantasy world that children have, and another that deals with the reality of what real children go through as they get older. Last but not least the movie brings out the reality of life and death, changes good and bad. I feel like a kid again, and when reading or watching Harry Potter, I am taken to the wonderful place of imagination.

They missed the key parts. Like the parts with Ritta skitta (or whatever her name is) In the books she ruins Hagrid's relationship, That they cut out... A waste of breath (if you did hold it)

I loved this movie! I'm a HUGE fan of harry potter. Can't wait til the 5th one comes out! One thing I was disappointed in was the world cup, it only showed like 15 mins of it and in the book it's really long. The triwizard tournament's awesome! This is such a good movie to see. One thing to say don't watch the clips of the movie because I did and I knew like every part haha. If your a fan of harry potter go and see it! You'll love it! The actors/actresses do a great job!

It's a excellent movie but in the same time, not for the children. There is some part of the movie that is so dark... that's a ovie for a public over 13. It is the best movie of the other Harry Potter with no doubt.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] I realize that they had to take lisence with certain story aspects, like the gillyweed and the reporter who is an animagi... but the rest of the story seemed really rushed just to show us 5 minutes of flying with a dragon and swimming around. Yes, its called HPATGOB... but to be honest I'd much rather have seen all the tests with all the participants in much shorter fashion... character develpment is as important for them as it is for HP and HG...
