This is a great movie. I would watch it a hundred times and still want to see it again. Coach carter is one of the best movies I have ever seen. The coach is also right that you have to do well in school to paly on these teams.

Very Very good movie. This is going to be an oxymoron, but if he was my coach I would have quite the first day, however I whish I was him!! To give that strong of a message and change peoples lives. Wow.

All right, so the movie wasn't bad. It sent out a clear message, which is sometimes hard to do. The only problem I found with this movie was that they tried so hard to explain the lives of all the characters that they didn't really fully develop any of them. Yes, the coach was focused on, but all the secondary characters were explained enough to know their background, but you couldn't get attached to them. It was entertaining, but kind of a let down.

First of all, I think the message of this movie is terrific: school is more important than sports. Coach Carter was an admirable man who really cared about his kids, not like many teachers/principals/coaches who are only there to do their jobs and no more. It sends a great message out to all teenagers, not just inner-city basketball players. The problem with this movie is it is TOO long! At 136 minutes, I was starting to look for the hobbits. Not that I have anything against long movies, but the story was resolved a good half hour before the movie ended, and everything else just seemed irrelevant. I personally couldn't have cared less if they were playing freakin' BADMINTON at the end. Some serious editing was required. Otherwise, I would've given Coach Carter an 8/10.

Good movie that stuck to reality, which seems to be very hard to come by. I love true stories with meaning.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] Absolutley genius but I wish they woulda won at the end... it kinda made me mad to watch them go through all that work to lose... but I thought it was awesome that that [...] nba player gave that dude some credit.

In my opinion I thought this movie to be very interesting. I kept wonderin what would happen next. I mostly like the fact that it was a inspiring true story. I also thought that the actors in this movie were a very big part of the movie since I thought most of them were very hott=P... in conclusion it was a well played out movie nd itz a must see type of movie especially for all the basketball playerz! :)

I loved it!! It was one of the best sports movies, and the fact that I am a huge basketball fan made it that much better. Some here mentiond the violence, I didnt mind it that much, maybe because to me, it helped the story line more. These kids were from the wrong side of the track, and coach carter turned them into better athletes, better students and better people. The movie was inspireing, and I loved it. Definitely gonna buy it when it comes out!

Great story but it didn't need all the violence they put in the movie and the gang scenes. We got the point the first time.

Great acting, even though Samuel L. Jackson is in everything, he really does a good job on this one, the supporting roles are great also, good story, the perfect feelgood movie, see it, you wont regret it.

Good message. Realize that to make the movie realistic and true to life, the inner city youth had to be portrayed as they were (a lot of swearing and sexual inuendos- did not care for that part of it, limits it as to who can view the movie. )

I think this is one of the better sports movies Ive ever seen, and, being a big basketball fan, I loved it. I suggest that all basketball fans and players go see this movie, it got me in the mood to go out and play. The playing in this movie is pretty good and there is a good story backing up the sports action.
