If you're a fan of Wes Anderson's other films, chances are you'll enjoy The Life Aquatic as well. It's a very enjoyable film, with an amusing and entertaining plot, some nice filming, excellent characters, and great performances. The great thing about this film is that even the supporting characters actually have character; though Steve Zissou (Bill Murray) is without a doubt the principal character, the film is not only supported by, but also built around the entire Team Zissou. We are introduced early on to one of Zissou's documentaries, but this type of filming doesn't really end there, as the entire film has a bit of a documentary feel [...]While I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, having noticed a couple leave the theatre after only about twenty minutes, it's probably safe to say that it's not everyone's cup of tea. I'd recommend giving it a chance, even if you're not familiar with Anderson's previous work.
