User's review

I think that this movie marks the beginning of a new genre of film. Besides the obvious psychological thriller which was rather slow and the characters (especially of the family) were not well developed. BUT many people who rated this movie negatively obviously missed a major perspective. The movie was very artistic, meaning that nearly all scenes were carefully 'set-up' with an emphasis on composition, colour, drama. It is quite amasing how MOST scenes where a work of art in themselves. Furthermore, the movie had various symbols that when given though, make perfect sense. I think this movie is MUCH more than what meets the eye at first, and also what our brains process does not do the movie justice. I propose that people should dissect this movie scene by scene and then one will realise how complicated, thought-out, and psychologically thrilling it can be. Quite different, thought provoking, and intellectually stimulating. I welcome comments. KJ.
