In mid 1940's, Grace (Nicole Kidman) moves into a mansion placed on a remote island near the English Coast where she must take care of her two sick children (James Bentley, Alakina Mann). Children's bodies don't tolerate sunlight, and they must avoid any contact with daylight. While they live in their isolation with strict rules to prevent any contact with sunlight, Grace will need to hire a group of servants to help her with the children... with unexpected consequences.
