Love reading the reviews of The Exorcist. I wish I was old enough to view the original in 1973, but I was only seven. I saw it for the first time on TV, edited and I only made it to the scene where Regan flys off the bed and then growls like a wolf. I had to turn it off, much to scary, and I'm not religious but was educated in a school run by Christian brothers, so I knew about religion. Many years later, when it was released on video, I sat down and watched it and I've been a fan ever since. They tried to add stuff in the 2000 version which is really tragic! The original is perfect. Does anyone know of web sites with original reviews and news articles from 1973 after it was released? I'd really like to get that. I understand they had priests and ambulances standing by. I'd love to go back in a time machine to see the original version in theatres and watch the reactions I've read about!
