If you are a fan of Biggie Smalls then you will not want to miss this movie. When the film ended, I wanted to hear every Biggie song over and over again. Jamal Woolard was a tour de force in the lead role. Unfortunately, if it wasn't for the Thug Life print letting us know who Tupac was supposed to be in the movie; we would have easily overlooked Anthony Mackie who was poorly miscast as the late Tupac. On the other hand, even though Derek Luke looks nothing like Puff Daddy, his acting ability brought the music mogul to life on the BIG screen. A nice surprise was actually watching Naturi Naughton play Kim Jones a. k. a Lil Kim. Naughton captured the essence of the real life Lil Kim and took on her persona in a way that impressed the entire audience. Not to be outdone, the soundtrack was even better than expected. Overall, a movie well worth watching.
