Wow. What a total excuse for a movie. It was probably the shortest movie I've ever seen, and the majority of the time was just people shooting and swearing. The F-Word was used every other second, and most of the movie was just people shooting other people. It was boring there was no plot, it was about 1:10 long, there was no character development, and it just sucked. They just got lazy with this one. The shooting wasn't even very satisfying, either. Avoid Rambo, but maybe watch the original, First Blood. If you want something similar to Rambo, but MUCH better, go watch Taken.

Stallone is back again, this movie was incredible, it captures you from the first scene till the [end]. After watching this movie I became one of the biggest fan of Stallone. Iwas one of his fan before. But after this movie I started watching again another Rambo like first blood 1 and Rambo 2,3 I liked Rambo 2 a lot, that movie with love ended quickly, Stallone is the man. God bless him and we are very happy when we knew there is another Rambo. Long live sly. And let the critics comments go to the hill. Long live Stallone and God bless you.

After watching this I thought the movie was weak. But if you compare this Rambo with Rambo II and Rambo iii, it's consistent in providing you poor story lines and it's dose of bloody, over the top action scenes, Rambo style. Could Stalonne have done better? Probably not.

If you saw the first 3 you have to see this one to cap it off. Not much of a story, but all the hard core Rambo stuff that made this series so popular in the first place. Great use of C. G. and satisfying ending.

I haven't seen the last two Rambo movies, but my husband is a big fan so we rented the latest. Although the main actress was annoying and had poor acting skills, I still really enjoyed this movie. It is REALLY gory though. Stalone was huge... I think he was on steroids for sure!

I saw this thriller on my 14th birthday with my dad and a friend. When the first scene with the land mines and the exploding bodies, I immediately had a great feeling of this movie. And although it lacked a real plot, Stallone showed us that actors in their 60's can still kick ASS!!!

DVD: "Rambo (2008 Widescreen)"
One expect that John Rambo may be getting a bit old to make a movie like this... but on the contrary, the movie was fantastic. Movies features great effects, great acting, great story as well as symbolism from the previous movies. Can't get enough of this movie. I can not remember seeing a movie I have enjoyed so much since 300.

The action scenes were good but the pacing of the movie was really weird and the violence level was over-the-top even for a Rambo movie. More stomach-turning than entertaining. Man, I have seeing Asians depicted this badly in a movie since Pearl Harbour. In fact, they make these Asians to be such monsters and then kill them in such a gory manner that you can't help but laugh. At least Rocky Balboa was good. But this didn't work at all.

This is by far the best Rambo plot to date. It has really brought to the forefront how brutal the mercenary for hire business can be, and yet, how human those individuals can be, A Team style, when they are faced with overwhelming adversaries and the surprise element has been taken away. It is also an incredible display of military strategy on Rambo's part. Overall an incredible show, graphic in the Rambo tradition, twisted plot covering several subplots, and exposing how graphic and senseless third world countries can be when compared to our own sheltered communities. Once again, a great show, I have watched it several times now.

It was okay. Plot and characters were pretty simple. A few sappy scenes. It was one of the most graphically violent films I have seen so if you want to see carnage, this film is for you.

If you find it entertaining to see senseless, graphic and extremely brutal killing then you might like this movie. If you like to see just how low humanity can stoop in the way it treats each other then you might like this movie. If you like to see women abused and raped then you might like this movie. Sadly this is happening in the world but do I need to watch it as "entertainment"? I don't think so. I walked out.

Loved every other Rambo movie. Obviously, the first was the best, and each sequel went a little further downhill, but... Let's be honest! Stallone looks great, and can still pull off this character AND the action scenes - no issue there! What's new in this one is the sadistic depiction of cruelty. I'm definitely not easily offended but you know, I got the message the first time they showed the bad guys doing bad things. They didn't have to show over, and over, and over, and over, and over (I could keep going) the rapes, torture and murders of women & children... After 2 hours, I'd had enough. I was more disgusted than entertained. Worst Rambo of the bunch, by far! Anyone giving this movie a passing grade is doing so simply out of nostalgia.

Stallone is still the perfect nihilistic actor, the less is more law ruling his thespian style from start to finish. There is a lot of gore in this one, blood, bones, sinew are everywhere with quite of few shots of them 'blowing up real good' thrown in there for good measure... quite a lot of them in fact. People are blowing up everywhere in this one, parts of them go ploop from their bodies all over the place, shot off or blown off in some semi spectacular fashion... ooohh the blood and the gore. Does that help with the plot... not really, doesn't hurt it though, lots of blood and gore can make up for a lack of plot in some cases, see the last Alien vs Predator movie as an example. Nice locations, lots of very jungle like area to blow up or shoot up lots of people. The actors, they had very little shelf life, they were two dimensional, were poorly constructed so that when they "Blew Up" you hardly noticed it much aside from the fact that they way they got shot up wasn't as nearly as spectacular as when the bad guys got blown or shot up... no missing parts, legs, arms... heads... nope, the good guys didn't lose any of that stuff as I can remember. Tip; if your friend is a Stallone fanatic then wait for him/her to rent it and see it then. If your into gore with a they made us do that to them feeling about it... this is for you... bring pop, lots of pop, gore makes one thirsty, found that out at this one believe me. Mistigush.

If I want to see women and boys raped, babies stepped on and shot, arms legs and heads being blown off and terror in the streets, I will watch the news. I knew this was violent and a "Rambo" movie, but it was a complete waste of two hours that I will never get back - Don't bother!!! And I can't believe all you people giving it an 8 rating! Sad.

I loved it. Definitely difficult to watch in parts because of the realistic violence but it is bringing the story of the people in Burma to us and its important that we be aware of the kind of things taking place today in our world. I love Stallone, I think he managed to stay true to the Rambo we've come to know and love. It helps raise awareness of Burma and its entertaining!

It was so so... it seems that they tried to make scenes much as gore possible to get an excuse to get Rambo in the action. The story line was cheezy, it was too much predictable and the main character was not very talktative, when he talks, I couldn't understand what he said, I guess that makes the character special, hehehe :p.

Well done, but a little too much of the same scenes were shot i.e. massive gunfire and graphic human damage (overdone and seemed to be used as filler to make the movie a normal length) More finesse scenes were needed (like in the first Rambo movie (First Blood) i.e. great improvisation) Not even Robin Hood could ever shoot a bow and arrow like Rambo, not even in his wildest dreams. Loved the torrential rain. Sly Stallone looked exceptionally fit for a 60 plus individual.

Very gory. Non stop action and good special effects. Rambo returns as a grumpy old man. I liked the movie although I felt it could have been longer. If exploding bodies bother you, then you should probably see something else.

Well , I did not like the movie much.. Acting was okay but the story sucked, it made a bit of sense but a lot of times there was RANDOM meaningless scenes. The action was pretty good , really looked good. Im giving it a 6 because I really thought that there was not enough action, even thought action was awesome... The story wasnt that good , but the idea was okay. Lots of times , they waste around 2 minutes showing us something that doesnt make sense... Like Rambo just looking at people.. Worth seeing on DVD... not in cinema.
