The next Spielberg? Don't make me laugh. “The Happening”; a film that promised thrilling action and spooky eeriness but failed on both counts. It is neither bloody enough for the horror film chunky, nor smart enough the intellectual types. Shyamalan simply tried too hard and makes everyone question if his brilliance will ever return.
