Horrible movie! Just plain bad, completely unrealistic and unfortunately completely predictable ending. If there's is nothing else to watch then see it but wait for it to hit the weekly dvd rental before renting it.

I saw that this movie had a 6 on 10 and wasn't expecting much but much to my surprise it was really captivating and enjoyable to watch. I would give it a 7 on 10 but vote an 8 cause I wanna bring up the AVERAGE.

This was ultimately a good thriller which had you guessing the entire time what was going to happen next until the very end. It was a movie you had to pay very close attention to, though it was exciting to see along with the mounting suspense. I will admit however, that it was very slow in parts, but this did not take away from the pleasure of seeing this picture, at least it didn't for me. The storyline was very interesting and flowed well, and had a clever plot. Al Pacino was great as always and still proves to be one of the most influential actors out there. However, if you're looking for another Scarface or Godfather type movie, this isn't it. Here, we see him in quite a different role, a person with good morals and good sense other than the usual notorious characters he's always played. I bought into his performance immediately, and I was very impressed. Also, there was great acting from the supporting cast, but Al Pacino literally stole the show. Overall, this is one movie that really sends you in so many directions that it's hard to think who the killer could be. Just when you think you know who it is, you start to doubt yourself again. If you look hard enough then you will figure it out. A definite must see for those who like mystery and guessing flicks.

One of the worst movies I have ever seen. Guessed the villain early on and the ending was no surprise. Movie seemed to consist of Al Pacino constantly talking on his cellphone and running around. Leelee Sobieski and Alicia Witt, while nice on the eyes, were horrible. Not even worth a rental. Spend your life doing something better, I wish I had.

The premise in this film is that a guy convicted on circumstantial evidence is still guilty of serious killings. Flies in the face of current re-evaluations of numerous death row cases being tossed out after DNA testing exonerates many convicts in the USA. Al Pacino is in great form in this film however. Kind of a drag to see popular cinema being used to reinforce outmoded modes of thinking re no DNA evidence, is 'not a problem'. It is in real life. I give it a three for a poor premise, but Al Pacino is, as usual, a nine out of ten, as an actor.

Very bad movie. I was not happy with any part of it. Ending really sucked eggs. Pacino really let me down on this one. I thought it would be good with him in it--but it didn't make any difference. They (the actors) were all bad.

This is a painfully bad movie. I have nothing good to say about it. Ran too long, story is mediocre. Pacino is not that good either. Kind of disappointed all the way 'round.

This is not Pacino's best work, not even close. I liked the story but they could have made this much better. The ending falls apart and thus makes it the anti-climax instead of being the thrilling bit of suspense it could have been with better acting and direction. Stay way from this dribble. Go re-watch "Scent of a Woman." WHO-AAH, WHO-AAH!

I think people are a little too hard on this movie, because it certainly wasn't the worst movie I've seen. It keep my attention, although I thought parts were very hokey, especially the red-haired girls acting... yikes! The constant talking on the cell phones got to me as well. However, although it's not Al Pacino's best performance by any means, it still had an all right plot and a little twist at the end. If you have nothing better to watch, then watch 88 Minutes.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] A non-stop whirlwind of confusion, paranoia, lunacy and red herrings. 88 Minutes is a flimsily plotted and dreadfully cast thriller that is mildly entertaining all the way through, but lacking in any intellectual depth. Pacino is terrific as usual, but the actors around him frustratingly all deliver performances that range from unbelievable to downright silly. How any casting director could possibly believe that Leelee Sobieski could be an unhinged murderer is beyond me. She is a big reason why the big reveal at the end is so anticlimactic, and why the whole explanation for all the happenings in the film is ludicrous. Not a disappointing movie really, it was hard to have high expectations for something that looked so generic, but l did get to see Al Pacino give wide eyed stares and yell every now and again, which is all I really wanted from it going in.

Love Al Pacino but this was his worst performance EVErrr! The storyline was so bad that reflected on his acting (maybe he thought it was crap too and acted like he didn't care) Like some other reviewers I was laughing out loud in the theatre as well. Didn't know about this movie until I saw the trailer while waiting to watch a different flick. Should have known!

It was alright... I was waiting for an amazing ending (the illusionist), but I got what I had suspected anyways, with a small twist. Not all that action packed or anything..., more dramatic. If you're looking for a good, psychological thriller, don't see this.

Meh its an ok movie.. I wouldnt spend 10 bucks for it but still.. You see it's one of these movies where the scenario just isn't that good.. when you see movies with wellknown actors, you get to expect a lot, and thouse when the movie isn't THAT spectacular you get to be displeased. Well I went on watching this movie only because I was bored so I wasn't that displeased. The actors did their job. The scenario isn't on the same level as the actors so it gets pretty predictable all along, but hey it's still worth watching Al Pacino with a gun lol. Just kidding.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] I always use the rating system on this site to gauge wether I will watch the movie in theaters or catch it on disc. Or as in the case with some movies, neither! This is that movie. Avoid it at all costs! I was lured into it, as probably everyne else was, due to Pacino. What was he thinking taking this role? Is he that desperate? The scenes did not flow, the acting was terrible, you can spot when they used body doubles for Pacino, the way the murders took place was plain stupid, even the car prop was visibly fake, and they kept shooting the car in slow motion! I wanted to walk out but I was hoping for a killer ending, do you think there was one? Check my rating...

Wow, this movie is almost as bad as funny games. The story was a little better but the acting was much worse. This was the worst acting i've ever seen in a movie. So phony it as painful to watch. I feel bad for Pacino having to work with such amateurs. It's really hard to believe how bad the casting was given that this was a movie he was starring in. It was probably even worse than a "b" movie. I just can't get over it!

From the opening scene I knew I was in trouble. I kept telling myself the terrible acting had to be on purpose because it was so blatant and plagued just about everyone on screen. It shouldn't have been such a surprise though as every actor besides Pacino is a virtual unknown or has-been. You'll know the faces, but will be asking yourself when the last time you saw these individuals on screen was. The film is horribly put together with all kinds of names and events to keep track of that really do nothing for the story at all (by the way, unless you're writing for the Pink Panther series who the hell names a character Guy LaForge? ) The one thing you can count on in the film is Pacino's incessant cell phone ring tone which will annoy you to no end and is equaled only by one of the stupidest bad-guy catch phrases in movie history "Tick, tock Doc..." People (18 of us poor souls in the theatre) were actually laughing out loud during most of the film. It wasn't the good kind of laughter either, but the "are they kidding? " kind. Terrible film!

This movie should have been called phone booth 2 or Cellular because it seemed like someone was on the phone the entire movie. With Al Pacino in the lead role I was finding myself liking his character but everyone else just kind of floated in and out with no real consequence. If it was called 88hrs it might have been more believable. He drove across Seattle (Vancouver. Actually) like 8 times in the movie and still managed to have a plot. Pacino fans: YES! High Paced Thriller fans: NO!!!

Although nothing close to a great movie this one is not as bad as the ratings it gets indicate. Thanks to Pacino's presence who caries the thing mostly alone. Could have been a lot better though. Way too much scenes with people on the phone... and a downright terrible performance by Leelee Sobieski. So bad actually that one wonders by what miracle of god she broke in the movies business in the first place...

This movie takes advantage of the cell phone. The cell gives modern writers too much opportunity to throw in new elements. It's laughable. I can't see how Pacino survived all the running around while REacting to cell phone dribble.

Very good movie. It was full of suspense and mystery throughout. Some may argue that it's unrealistic in terms of how much happened in 88 minutes, but you it is a dramatic thriller movie and you should expect it. Not Pacino's best work, but I thought it was pretty good given some of the poor movies he has been in lately. Overall, if you let yourself get caught up in the drama and mystery then you will enjoy it. But don't go into it thinking it will be a masterpiece just because Pacino is in it or you will be disappointed.

This movie is one of the worst movies I've seen in my life. I don't have anything good to say about it, everything is bad. 88 minutes should have gone straight to DVD, the only reason it didn't, is because of Al Pacino. He must have some big money problems... or maybe he should be the one consulting a psychiatrist for picking this movie.
