I am absolutely disappointed. It had the potential to be great, to be an awesome," Holy crap man did that really happen?!" thriller. And it failed! Why else would I be reviewing it? I like writing mean reviews. Accentuate the negative, I say. Anyway, Forrest is wasted in his role. This guy is an amazing actor, and he plays a guy who... Damn. I can't think of anything. He runs around with a camera. The movie has more characters than a King novel, and most of them are useless. Howard, Anna, Anna's mom, the Spec-ops guy's brother, all of their roles are unnecessary. I could see a book having these characters, but in a fast-paced action conspiracy-ish film, I don't need to know that Howard will save the little girl. He has to, since this movie is cliched. I don't need to know that they'll kill the guy's bro. They have to, since this movie is cliched. I don't need to know that Barnes is played by a whiter than driven snow, instead of Whitaker the Wonderful, who would have been great. Barnes has to be white and mean, since this movie is cliched. The only part that really shines, and even this is hindered by facts I'll explain later, is the Car Chase. I'll repeat that again. Car Chase. This is one of the best, folks, rivalling the Bourne Series. However, it's cut off by Thomas Barnes' car getting t-boned into a corner, which could have been a delicious subversion of most Car Chase scenes, but no. My yummy Car Chase sandwich is ruined by a big gob of rotten pop-out-the-windshield- and-walk-away-unscathed mayo. Gosh this review is disjointed and overlong, and full of cliches! Just like Vantage Poi-. No. I won't go there.
