User's review

Like Judd Apatow's The 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up is a lot of fun, smoothly blending sly wit and ribald gags. But at the core of both films, there is a wise, intuitive perception of human nature and relationships. Katherine Heigl gives a standout performance as the reluctant mother-to-be, authentically charting the course of her character's emotions through confusion, shock, rage and terror. Seth Rogen skillfully finds the right balance between loveable and loser. Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann are equally impressive as the not-so-perfect couple.
