It not only engenders appreciation for sharks in their own right, but also clearly establishes their vital link in the chain of life itself. Employing gruesome and heartbreaking scenes of an overwhelming number of marine animals suffering and dying, Sharkwater powerfully exposes the devastation wrought by massive overfishing. It unflinchingly and lucidly conveys the complex and appalling reasons behind the continuation of such catastrophic and wasteful practices, including shark finning. A must-see.
