This movie was the most racist, sexist, piece fo grabage I have ever seen in my life. All the chracters play out carefully constructed stereotypes, yet the movie pretends to "inoform" people about Arabs. We ong, it si still racist and plays into all the stereotyping of arabs we see today that needs to be stopped.

It's shocking how the latest events add meaning to this movie... I mean come on!! CIA training arabs who end up turning against them? So far fetched... New York under terrorist attack? GET REAL that would never happen right? HOw about arab-américains detained and interrogated? That would never happen in the USA!!? If you haven't seen this movie... rent it now Great play by the actors! (I give it a 10 simply because the rating it has is way too low but it's more of an 8) (duh it's americanized... it takes place in the US and the main parties involved are the CIA, FBI and US ARMY... wouldn't make much sense if it was a CANADIANIZED movie... or GERMANIZED movie... or Japanized movie would it? ;)

I love this movie... I could watch it over and over again... I think G. W. Bush should have watched it... it would have helped him in his stupid actions.

This movie just sucks. its a racist peice of works. and distorts the arab culture. Not only does it claim that allMuslims are Arabs which is not the case, but it claims that muslims and arabs are nothing but dark bearded terrorists. Shame on you Denzel, and double shame on you Tony Shaloub, you are Lebanese man, what are you doing!!

For those that haven't seen the film: The film is set in Brooklyn, N.Y., and involves a bombing campaign by "Muslims" which prompts the American military to declare martial law and carry out a mass arrest of American Muslims and Arab-Americans. The scenario is similar to the detention of Japanese-Americans during WWII. This film links Islamic religious practices such as prayer, Islamic dress, the beard, Quranic recitation with terrorism. The film reeks of stereotyping that further perpetuates the myth that Islam=terrorism. In the end, all it does is provide more reason for non-Muslims to despise/suspect Muslims before even talking with them to find out what Islam is all about. Quotes from the Qur'an : "There is no compulsion in religion" (2:256) "Invite (Call mankind) to the way of your Lord (i.e.Islam) with wisdom (i.e. with the Divine Inspiration and the Qur'aan) and goodly exhortation (beautiful/fair preaching)" (16:25) Nowhere is terrorism justified or mention. Therefore, one shouldn't confuse the acts of people claiming to follow Islam with the acts of true followers of Islam.

The movie is about invistigation something that we used to see in those american films nothing new Denzel and bruce plays the same roles as heros of course, but the main thing in it is that it gives the spectator the feeling that American people are the good people who will strive to fight the "bad" that doesn't fit the american philosophy, the same as they did with the Indian people they are trying to do it with Muslim people, regarding to what did happen in Somalia bombing, the intelligent person must ask Him/herself, who are they to take the right to judge the rest of the wo know, i.e they are far from being terrorists for an open minded person who will take a little time to invistigate about Islam religion that spread peace among people. So don't let them full you and poison your mind and thoughts with this kind of wrong messages. 1 out of 10 because they are lying to people.
