"Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me" is the final explanation of what the TV series could not resolve, even if it continued endlessly: the fearful story of our wonderful Laura Palmer. In this film, David Lynch proves the secret nature of evil in a somewhat idyllic American town. Anyway, Lynch has complete control over this fantastic view of the underworld of Middle America, even presenting a grim mirror image of Twin Peaks as the other town where the Teresa Banks tragedy occurred. We have the conflict of fiendish fury, the Black Lodge, with the longing for true Paradise again. We have a magnificent young woman, Laura, heroic like Faust, who is tortured by her inquiring mind and urge for freedom, persecuted by strange forces opposed to her liberation and equality.
