The Mothman Prophecies [2002] Movie Reviews on CinemaClock

Try out my new trick. When you see a preview for a movie and you have even the slightest INKLING that it might be good, shut your eyes and block your ears, and when you see the commercials on TV, change the channel. That is what I did for The Mothman Prophecies, so I really had no clue what to expect. It paid off: I was in a state of constant suspense. At one point, I soiled myself. I don't care much for Richard Gere, no let me rephrase that: I don't care AT ALL for Richard Gere, but I'm not one to judge a movie based on the actor. He was good in this, as the part suited him. Go see this flick, but be warned: the scares come from psychological tricks and suspense, not from gore or violence, which is something a lot of people don't seem to like. Now, if only movie theatres would start selling fresh underwear at the concession stands...
