User's review

Why is it that every single review I read about this movie goes and spoils the ending? Just like Perfect Storm, reviewers think that because it is based on a true story, it's okay to give away the ending. Isn't it possible that not everybody has heard about this in the news, or has read the book it was based on? Mark Lepage at the Gazette ruined this one for me, but I never would've heard about the film if I hadn't read his review (or the first couple of paragraphs anyway), so I am not too furious. Even though I had it spoiled, I still thought it was the best film of the year so far. Much better than Kids, and infinitely greater than Gummo, which to me could be considered the worst movie ever made. Larry Clark must have been on something crazy when he made Gummo. This, though, is fantastic. Great acting, lots of laughs, terrific characters, and an engrossing plot. It really lets you see behind the surface of people and realize why people do what they do, that maybe there is a reason for some people's bad actions. It made me think, it took me on (pardon the cliche) an emotional rollercoaster. The abundance of soft-core teenage porn helped too. I LOVED IT! But do yourself a favour and don't read ANY reviews (except mine, of course) or you'll have it spoiled. Just see it, you won't be sorry.
