Kill Bill meets Schindler's List. To enjoy this, you must: have a tolerance for subtitles (half the movie is in German or French with subtitles), be able to look past historical inaccuracies (sort of the point of the movie; it IS a revenge fantasy, after all) and not expect an action movie (it is a very slow, yet very intriguing noir drama, with only a scattered few moments of violence) If there is any justice in this world, Christoph Waltz will win an Oscar for his portrayal of a hideously slimy and linguistically-proficient Nazi officer, probably one of cinema's best villains.
