Seldom do lawyers get a fair shake and that is for good reason. Often, money is their only motivation but in this film, Al Pacino plays a lawyer forced into a situation that pits him against all of the injustice that he sees in his own life, but strangely enough, it is justice for justice's sake and not for the truth. This film reveals the truth behind the law where all amiguities are points of arguement for non-sentencing rather than for clarification and correction. The violent and passionate displays in the case are valid in his character and gives resistance to the steamrolling kind of justice that has had corrupted lives of so many. But ultimately, this film isn't about justice. It's about passion and making a difference and this film makes you want to stand up and shout for whatever it is in your life that has irritated you and to want to do something about it. Very thought provoking and riveting acting.

Totally awesome. In the last courtroom scene, just super acting by Pacino and should have earned him an oscar that year. I'll never get that last courtroom scene. Straight to F____'n jail. The best!!

This is a very good court room drama. It is not a great film, yet it does show, in perhaps a naive and simplistic way, how corrupt it can be in the justice system. Nothing fancy or great about it, but flawless for what it's worth.

I saw this film last night on video- my god it blew me away! Most Pacino films do anyways, but this one's gotta be one of the best of his that I have ever ever seen... and I've seen a lot of em. The scene where he bashes the car with his briefcase moved me to tears: I won't spoil it if you ain't seen it. But that one scene is enough to prove that Al Pacino is easily the best actor around, you just feel every emotion he's feeling and it's so real! Rent it or buy it or whatever but see it because it'll blow you away :)

Overall, a great film. Al Pacino is a great actor, and in this movie he is the obvious star. The movie teaches a pertinent moral for society, the story is well-written, the actors and actresses do their jobs well, the camera work is good, the music is appropriate, and the entire feel of the movie is effective. A classic movie definitely worth seeing.

This is an amazing movie. I am surprised nobody even took the time to write comments. So here I go. Al Pacino at his best, before his days of overacting. Interesting story, great actors, and seeing the interest in law related T.V. shows, a must see for anyone who enjoys that type of setting. A classic.
