The Bone Collector is a wonderful movie that shows the extraordinary fight to find the killer of the people.

Having read the book(a lost art, apparently to some movie fans), I was hesitant to see this movie as I am usually let down by the interpretations but I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Quite enjoyable, good gross-outs and thriller aspect. No block-buster but worth the rental fee - entertaining.

I don't know what everyone is talking about. I thought that it was an awesome movie. The acting was very good. Throughout most of the movie, I was on the edge of my seat. I'm never going to take a taxi ever again.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] My reading of the other reviews of this HORRIBLY BAD movie leads me to an understanding of why our country is in the state that it is in... [...] This brain-dead movie sends a _totally novice, untrained_ cop into a crime scene ALONE as a forensic investigator, a crime scene involving the wife of a very prominent (murdered) person in NYC... of course, she has a radio link (which somehow works underground) to a bed-ridden forensic "genius" which excuses this all... yeah, you bet... After the wife is killed by a regularly scheduled underground steam venting (? ) which, for some reason, could not be stopped (? ! ), the novice investigator who is all by herself at the crime scene (sure... ), even though there are multiple cops directly behind her, is told (via radio from the "genius" into the _underground_ sewer crime scene) to CUT OFF the hands of the victim so that the handcuffs can be removed to "check for prints. " SHEESH!!! THAT is when this "movie" was so incredibly INSULTING to my intelligence that I stopped the DVD. Yeah, like after the victim was _cooked_ by the mysterious long, explosive, and somehow unstoppable steam venting (? ! ) that there would be ANY prints left! AND, like the nonexistent prints couldn't have been taken IN PLACE by the TEAM of forensic investigators who would have been on the scene in anything other than a _MORON's_ "really great" movie. This movie is INCREDIBLY DUMB!!! I wish I could get my rental fee back. Want an EXCELLENT Washington flick? Rent or buy "The Hurricane. "

Good suspense. Occassional grizzly, horrifying scenes. Storyline is OK, but something definitely missing from this film. Denzel's character not very convincing. Somewhat of a let-down.

This movie did not come together very well. The inventive death scenes are the best thing it has going for it. I was not impressed, even by Denzel, who usually stands out in even his worst films. This time he couldn't save the script.

I found the movie to be quite enjoyable with some good creepy scenes. Even though the murders were inventive and gory, you never saw the actual acts in themselves - mostly it was left to the imagination. Denzel Washington did a very good job playing a paraplegic as basically all of his emotions had to be shown through his face. Angelina Jolie also did a fairly good job as the young rooking cop with a tortured soul.

Excellent Movie, but a little too much nudity, for my liking. I remember the good old movies where you didn't need pornography to sell a movie.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] Bad movie containing good ideas. That's what I can say about this piece. Inventive (and disgusting) murders. Nice ideas for plots. Nice ideas for mysteries. Angelina and Denzel offer the best they can... Face it : you can be the best actor ever, but if your text and everything surrounding your charater is bad, you can't save it. Angelina and Denzel did not save it. This movie could have been what I would call an 'enjoyable no-brainer ride'... which would have been fine by me (I try to judge the movie by it's intent which was definately not to give us divine revelations of any kind). The end of the movie. To every of my friends to which I speak of the movie, I tell the end first. Anticlimactic. What suspense is there when a paraplegic hero tries to fight off the evil villain? Great, they made the best they could out of it... The hero can do two things : move his head and move his index. The villain comes in and breaks off his index. Oopsie. Bad situation for the hero. The hero cleverly injuring the evil guy who shoves him on the ground. Then the evil guy reels in pain while the hero lies helpless on the ground. Suspense? Of course not. The villain has all the time in the darn world! The hero is paraplegic!! And then the villain gets hurt again by the only remaining means of the hero. Ok. The the villain decides to finally kill him and, of course, the lovely lady comes in and saves him at the last second. This is to be expected. Ok. It sucks, but ok, y'know, it can work (though it's not what I would call good or innovative). But the montage makes it sooo boring. This is where they tried to make something different... instead of switching between scenes where the sidekick is driving to save the hero and where the hero gets injured, we just see the hero get beat up. And when we have forgotten about the girl (or so they hoped) she jumps in. Hurray. (Please, no more!!!!!). I tell my friends because if they go see the movie, they will at least get a good laugh where they can't get a good suspense... What makes this bad is that they talk about this as the next 'Silence of the Lambs' or the next 'Seven'. Therefore boosting anticipation... and when you anticipate something from a movie (especially something that it is not), it dims the effect (The Phantom Menace comes to mind, here).

I thought the movie was pretty good. Sure it was pretty stupid to put Denzel Washington on a Bed the whole movie. It was pretty exciting to watch but some parts where just downright boring. For me, I knew who the murder was near the begininig and I was right...
