I like dogs. I like Jenifer Aniston. However one dimensional anything doesn't do it for me, and that includes family pets. Am sure I saw Wilson reading lines from a teleprompter, and when Aniston gave away her firstborn's birthright, I was done. Was truly surprised that Kathleen Turner accepted her cameo part though. Now THAT'S class!

Very good movie. But also extremely sad. The whole theater was a blubbering mess.

Make sure you bring a box of kleenex! And don't sit beside someone you don't no they will think you are crazy when you start crying... Very sad movie... However the only downfall was every funny part was in the trailer... If I didnt see the trailer I would have liked it more... but I knew everything that was coming except for the very end.

The story was lighthearted, easy to watch, had some humour and was perfect for a relaxing, family movie until the end. To have to watch a dog being put down was totally unnecessary. If you have ever had to go through this with a much loved pet, you don't want to see this on the screen. It would have been so much better if the dog had just [...] naturally. A good movie was spoiled by the ending.

It was so emotional, I hate when it's a sad ending. But this movie was so good. I would definitely go see it again in a heart beat... I LOVED IT!!!

I dont see my dad often, and I went with him to see this movie. We both thought it was cute. The ending is quite sad, so bring a few tissues.

A classic tear jerker. Male or female there is something within this film that will play upon your heart strings. Anniston did provide a new emotional dimension to her performance as you do feel she is at the end of her rope. I highly recommend this film.

If you have ever owned or own dogs, especially labs, Marley and me is a must see. Marley does enough funny bad things for three dogs but you'll recognize them all and laugh your ass off. His owners are represented as a balanced family who love him to bits but can't control him. As the movie moves on and Marley gets older it becomes sadder and sadder and by the end you are an emotional wreck. It's a story about life and love and what a dog can add to it. It could not have been done better... a classic.

I was dragged by my wife, and a few friends to see Marley and Me. While the film does everything you'd expect from a holiday movie including cute animals, kids, and a little family tension, it's so by the numbers that it just made me angry. There's no personality, no surprise, no enjoyment to be had. While Wilson might just have saved his career with this film, it's still nothing to be excited about. I'm sure your wife or girlfriend will love it, but make sure that you make plans to see an alternate. Something that requires you to actually think about what's going on, instead of handing you a tissue, and telling you that you should be crying now.

It's so touching, especially if you are a dog person. Definitely my favourite movie.

I never thought I'd ever be giving this movie a good rating, let alone actually liking it. But we wanted to see a movie, and it was the one that seemed like the most bearable. We were pleasantly surprised. This movie is funny, it has a good heart, and Owen Wilson is quite good in it. I'm not even a dog lover and I liked this movie. Jennifer Aniston is her usual self, so no real acting on her part. And she's not very believable as a mother in this one. I think they focus on her excellent body way too much in this flick (as usual) Alan Arkin delivers an ok performance as Wilson's boss. He has his usual funny lines delivered dryly like only he can. The dog steals the show, deservedly so. And Wilson's reactions to the dog's antics are very good. Wilson may play the same old role he has mastered (could be the only role he actually can play), but in this movie, he manages to shine while being his usual self. 7/10, a good movie, worth seeing, if you are up for a feel good movie. I was pleasantly surprised.
