City of Men is about more than two young men who have grown up in a Brazilian favela... it's about the human experience. Strong acting, beautiful cinematography, and a story that doesn't rely too heavily on flashbacks but presents just enough of a background to avoid alienating its new audience amount to a great, solid film. Those who enjoyed this film should be sure to check out the series.
